The fact that Apple "engrossed" in introducing the MacBook Pro Retina screen and the configurations upgraded for the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro at the WWDC 2012 event this morning made many doubt about the fate of the version. The 17-inch MacBook Pro no longer appears in Apple's product list.
